Welcome to the website of the Melton Mowbray Rugby Football Club.

A bunch of Melton Rugby Club Coaches have been playing in a Touch Rugby Summer League in Leicester over the last 8 weeks.
Leicester Tigers were the winners of the play-off system but Melton won the Plate trophy.

In the picture are Richard Evans, Richard Taylor, Dave Postle, Marcus Twidale, Andrew Hatfield, Andy Hutchinson and Chris Lumby.

The night was a really enjoyable night of Touch, played in great weather, that served as a fitting finale to what has been an excellent season. Having all 4 semis running at the same time was an impressive spectacle and added to the tournament feel. The matches were closely fought too.

In the Cup competition, Leicester Forest beat Champagne Supernovas quite convincingly while Tigers did just enough to see off Leicester Forest Juniors.
In the Plate competition, Melton beat Kamikazi in the first semi, while Perfect Motion Misfits just edged All Star VI after a dramatic drop-off.

The finals were tense affairs, with close scorelines in each.

In the Cup - Tigers held out to beat Leicester Forest by 4 scores to 1.
In the Plate - Melton beat Perfect Motion Misfits 10 - 9 with a very last second touchdown.
